    The skeletal system is framework of the body, consisting of bones and  connective tissues.

    What is the skeletal system for?

    Skeletal supports, protects, and allow movements for the body. There are 206 bones in the skeletal system, the bones form more than 300 joints in the body. Ligaments are tissues that connect bone to bone and provide static and dynamic input to the nervous system.
